FAQ

What is Amigurumi?

Amigurumi is the Japanese word which describes small crocheted stuffed toys, often in the shape of characters and animals, among other things. It comes from the two root words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, which means stuffed doll.

Are beech wood teethers safe for my baby?

Natural beech wood is a non-splintering hardwood that is chemical free, antibacterial and shock resistant. Unlike hard plastic, hardwood has natural antimicrobial and antibacterial properties that kill contaminants rather than letting them sit on the surface, where it can be picked up by your child's mouth. This is why wooden toys, like wooden cutting boards, can be more hygienic than their plastic counterparts.

Are silicone teethers safe for my baby?

Food grade silicone teethers are 100% non toxic - free from BPA, Lead, Mercury, PVC, Latex, Phthalates and Cadmium. Our silicone beads and teethers have been tested and certified to ensure they comply with the Australian safety standard (AU/NZS ISO 8124.3:2012).

How do I wash and care for my products in the Baby Collection?

To care for your silicone teethers, simply wash in mild soapy water. Wooden products can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
